Taking their need for adrenaline off the waves and onto the trading floor, six work friends end up jobless and blacklisted from the finance industry for their take-from-the-rich exploits. Strapped for cash, they jump at the proposition to derail a multimillion dollar strip-mining operation in a small Brazilian beach town. Eric Swalls, the charismatic and volatile leader of the group, talks his buddies into signing on for the handsome payout and the opportunity to kite surf in Brazil while they exact their plans. It doesn’t hurt their conscience that they’ll be saving the town from destruction. On the beaches of Pipa, the five guys and their hot tomboy pal Sarah kite surf, party, and enjoy paradise. They are gods of wind and water, sailing into the air to perform mind-boggling tricks. But the hunk of strip mining equipment being air lifted onto the mainland really gets their hearts racing. They have less time than they thought. The man who hired them, Art Collins, owns a resort in the town and his success depends on their ability to stop the mining. They are unaware he is responsible for their blacklisting. Sarah discovers this and gets a promise that he will right any wrongs when the mission is done. A stunning local Brazilian girl, Carolina, sparks both Eric and Art’s interest. She is intelligent and ambitious, hoping to go to school in Rio de Janeiro - so she waits tables at the resort to earn money. Art and Eric vie for Carolina’s emotions, coming up against her mistrust of foreign men and her overprotective older brother, Paulo. The guys all try their hand at sabotaging the mining site - avail. Finally, Sarah gets the guards at the site on her side, convincing them to help cripple the operation and save the town. They stage a successful mission - decimating the equipment and making their intent known - Never in Pipa. But there are consequences for their actions. Police question the town. When they come up against icy residents and no leads, the mining contractor hires out-of-town thugs to get the job done. Cuddy, Eric’s best friend, gets thrashed, only making it home to warn his friends thanks to Carolina. Eric sends the girls with Cuddy to the hospital. The rest head out to settle the score. Our guys are not prepared for knives and guns. The thugs have them cornered with no way out. Paulo and a friend come just in time armed with baseball bats to flip the situation. After an intense melee, the friends are victorious, but the police arrest both good guys and bad. Paulo helps get the guys out of jail. The hoods are left as evidence of the contractor’s misdeeds. At the hospital, Eric is greeted by a kiss from Carolina and the news that Cuddy will be fine. They wheel him out to a packed press conference where the local mayor denounces the company, revoking its contract to mine. Art helps Carolina pay for school and keeps his promise to get the friends off the blacklist. The six return to the States to pursue lives with a little less risk, but a lot more reward.
