Hania at Cinema Kijow in Cracow. There were present the Director as well as DoP and Producer – Janusz Kaminski and producers Juliusz Machulski from Studio Filmowe ZEBRA and Grzegorz Hajdarowicz, the President of GREMI FILM PRODUCTION whose company is based in Cracow. The official premiere of movie ‘Hania’ directed by Janusz Kaminski, took place November, 25th.

Janusz Kaminski said about his latest film: ‘…I looked for an universal story which can be understood in Cracow as well as in Hongkong. I found it in the story of Wojtek, who groves up to the role of husband, father and responsible men. From the other hand the story of ‘Hania’ takes place during Christmas time. Nowhere in the world Christmas is not celebrated the way as it is in this part of Europe. In America it is a pure commerce, glittering lights and nothing more. Polish Christmas I know and still esteem, it is a family meeting fulfilled with conversations, close relationships and the need to share moment in warm atmosphere. Making this movie, I wanted everyone who watches ‘Hania’ to get a little bit of hope and optimism. The movie can be already seen in Polish cinemas. Starring: Agnieszka Grochowska, Lukasz Simlat, Maciej Strzelczyk Moreover ‘Hania’* was screened at the opening Ceremony of the XV International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography PlusCamerimage 2007 in Lodz as a special screening. However in the main competition was another film of Janusz Kaminski ‘ The diving bell and the butterfly’ which brought him the Golden Frog. We are very happy about it! Congratulations! It is worth to mention that Janusz Kaminski has won two Oscar awards for the best photography for films: ‘Schindler’s List’ and ‘Saving Private Ryan’. The music to *‘Hania’* was composed also by Oscar winner Jan A.P. Kaczmarek. The premiere of ‘Hania’ was held under the Honorary Patronage of the President of the City of Krakow Prof. Jacek Majchrowski. The Cracow premiere of *‘Hania’* was the following movie event organised by Grzegorz Hajdarowicz. During the evening, children from the Orphanage Number 7 in Cracow received Christmas presents from Gremi Film Production – the co-producer. Each of the producers received a symbolic angel’s wing.
