About us

GREMI FILM PRODUCTION is one of the few film production companies that invests private money in their films. This is why Gremi’s aim is to make artistic movies that achieve commercial success. Gremi’s strategy is to participate in prestigious yet commercial international projects involving major players in the film industry, which can be sold worldwide. Gremi already plays a significant role in the film industry and is developing rapidly due in part to its cooperation with strong and reliable partners.
We try to make one to two films a year, and our ambition is to become executive producers. We want to improve the artistic value of our films so we choose scripts, the cast and the crew carefully. We also focus on profit and film promotion strategies.

GREMI FILM PRODUCTION debuted in 2005 as a co-producer of Artur Wiecek’s comedy “Angel in Love” (in cooperation with Beres & Baron Media Productions). This debut was followed by Marek Gajczak’s “Underneath” co-produced with Barton Film. In 2006 Gremi Film Production and Yeti Films were Polish co-producers of the Peter Greenaway's film "Nightwatching" which was selected to Venice FF. Later Gremi, together with ZEBRA Film Studio, was involved in Janusz Kaminski’s "Hania". Following Gremi entered first Polish-Spanish-Brazilian coproduction ‘Carmo – Hit the Road’ by Murilo Pasta which was in main competition of Sundance 2009. The latest co-production of Gremi premiered at Tribeca 2009 – a dysfunctional family comedy called ‘City Island’ by Raymond De Felitta starring Andy Garcia, Emily Mortimer, Steven Strait. The President of Gremi Film Production is Greg Hajdarowicz, who graduated from the Faculty of International and Political Studies at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He was involved in the underground activity of the Confederation for an Independent Poland in the 80s. He was a councilor for the city of Krakow in the first democratically-elected City Council. He is also behind the success of a group of companies under KCI S.A., of which GREMI FILM PRODUCTION is a part.

In 2008 Greg Hajdarowicz got selected as PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE and represented Poland at Cannes Film Festival.
